CURTIS L. L. HERBOLD

When Curtis started writing, he was not the best with language skills, nor did he have a fancy car. Money was out of the question and if he emptied his pocket, dust would fall out.
Curtis never dreamt of publishing a book or becoming a “Best Selling” author.
He was just happy living his own life in a one-bedroom apartment, working in a minimum wage job, and paying his dues to society, but he did all of this without the help of his family, friends, or government.
The only help Curtis had was to get his first book edited professionally by a freelance editor.
Like all authors, he started his journey by creating the plot, the storyline, and everything else that goes into the creation of a book.
Add to this the creation of his webpage, the book covers, social media platform and he was in business.
Curtis put himself out there for the world to see him and to witness his accomplishments.
Curtis once said ‘Even if I do not become rich or famous off the book series, at least I get to say I did this, and I am proof of myself for accomplishing what I have, especially considering the challenges I have encountered with Asperger Syndrome. This book series it to say nothing can stop you if you put your mind to it.’
THE HEART’S PURPOSE
Her hair was as black as the sea of the galaxy, shining and swaying like everlasting peace,
Teeth that were pearly like stars in the night, that lit up a room like those so bright,
In a world where friend and foe are none too bright,
The twinkle in her eye showed everything that was right,
Her eyes so deep, like the everlasting sea,
Her caring nature is one you would care to see,
But most of all, her personality is someone to hug,
Even though it pains me that friends we couldn’t become,
I know she will go far for the world is hers to bend,
In the day and in this hour,
I call upon the ancient power,
To bless this girl to achieve her dreams,
But also, to find the path of dreams,
May all her wishes come about to pass,
That she may be the one to pass,
Nobody more deserving to see those pearly white gates,
And even though she or anyone else will disagree,
I will always be a friend that she can call on if she is in need,
In the art of this poem,
The deeper meaning of life,
Love isn’t a person or a place,
It’s what you feel in your heart,
It’s not our place to judge love,
As love comes in all shapes and sizes,
Love isn’t something you can label or deny,
It’s something you choose or be denied,
Love opens doors to anything and everything,
But it’s what you choose to do with it that dictates what you do with it,
Because at the end of the day love isn’t something you label,
Its 100% what you feel in the very soul of your heart,
The yearning you feel isn’t a yearning for anyone particular person or thing,
But it is the yearning for yourself and love’s embrace.

THE ONE WHO WAITS
Each night, at dusk’s embrace, they come,
A silent soul, a heart struck dumb.
From seven ‘til the stars arise,
They sit alone with longing eyes.
Never stepping past the door,
Yet wanting something, aching more.
Shy as moonlight, soft and still,
Held back by fear, not lack of will.
The world beyond, so vast, untamed,
A place unknown, yet still unnamed.
They watch its wonders from afar,
Like dreamers wishing on a star.
The laughter drifts, the voices call,
Yet shadows press against the wall.
A step would break the fragile chain,
But safety lingers close to pain.
But love is bold, though hearts may quake,
And all it takes is one small shake—
A single knock, a whispered chance,
To pull them from their quiet trance.
A trembling hand, a fleeting glance,
A shift within the circumstance.
One word, one spark, one simple plea—
A bridge to what could someday be.
I do not know the name or face,
But you, my dear, you know their place.
And if you dare, go—set them free,
For happiness may wait, unseen.
A light left burning in the night,
A beacon drawn in hopeful light.
Go, offer warmth, extend your hand,
And lead them toward a promised land.
For walls may fall, and fear may fade,
If only love is unafraid.

LOVE SERENDIPITY
THE ONE WHO WAITS
Your beauty is a dance of sunlight upon the waves,
An eternal melody that only my soul craves.
Your heart, a treasure of boundless devotion,
A beacon guiding me through life’s vast ocean.
Your beauty ripples like waves on the sea,
And your heart is pure, filled with love and sincerity.
You love everyone, including your friends,
But most of all, you’re there till the end.
Though miles may separate us, our spirits entwine,
Each thought of you, a sip of the sweetest wine.
Even though we are far apart,
Our minds and our hearts are never apart.
With all things that are and all things that will be,
Maybe you are the one that true love can see.
If it wasn’t you, then sad would be true,
But under life’s watchful gaze, hope will always break through.
If you try hard enough in the life of love,
Our worlds will collide, and we’ll stand side by side.
Being with me is not going to be easy,
But if you succeed, you shall be busy.
I don’t give my heart freely because life has been harsh,
But I’m kind and sweet, like a chocolate marsh.
I’m moody in many different ways,
But you can always trust that love will light the way.
I’m protective of my heart until it’s proven true,
But at the end of the day, it can only be you.
I dream of your laughter, a song to my night,
Your touch, a whisper, a spark of pure delight.
You are the poetry in my every breath,
The love that will linger beyond even death.
In your presence, the stars seem to bow,
For even their brilliance dims to you now.
Your eyes, twin lanterns of radiant fire,
Ignite in me a passion, an endless desire.
Your soul is a haven where I long to reside,
Forever lost in the warmth of your tide.
Let me paint your days with hues of bliss,
And seal our bond with a lover’s kiss.
Every word you speak, a sonnet divine,
Every look, a promise that you are mine.
With you, time slows, the world fades away,
Leaving only our hearts to forever sway.
For you are my light, my heart’s only creed,
The one I adore, the only one I need.

SEVEN DAYS OF PICK ME UPS
Today is Sunday, and it’s time for the day to begin,
Time to get ready for work again, just so the week can begin.
As the last day of the weekend fades away,
New challenges arise, but you’ll find your way.
Never forget you have friends and family who care,
Just know you have many who are always there.
The weekend may be gone by the end of the night,
But don’t let the week pass without finding delight.
The week starts tomorrow with all it brings,
But don’t let it affect your joy and personal things.
Monday, the roughest day of the week,
Try not to feel too weak, or you’ll falter by the end of the week.
The beginning is tough, but not the craziest of all,
Work may be hard, but home is your call.
To be there and then be home is a blessing to see,
Coming back to your community is where you’re free.
Nothing to see, nothing to hear but the worries you may fear,
Just know it’s only Monday; there’s nothing to fear.
Tuesday is here, so it’s time to persevere.
Be present in the moment, no matter where,
Work may be long, but time is on your side,
Never feel overwhelmed; let positivity be your guide.
Take things as they come, enjoy the good ahead,
Tomorrow will come, so rest easy in bed.
Wednesday is here, the middle of the week,
Stay strong, don’t let yourself feel weak.
As the week drags on, it may feel longer,
But don’t let that wear you down; you are stronger.
Things are what they are and will be,
But don’t stress too much; let life flow naturally.
Talk to someone you hold dear,
Their support can make things clear.
Today is Thursday, but not a bird’s day,
Every day brings lessons in its own way.
The workday may be long and draining,
But friends and community keep you sustaining.
Once you’re home, you can finally unwind,
A drink in hand, with peace of mind.
Just know the day may have been stressful,
But home is where comfort is successful.
Today is Friday, and you can absolutely say yay,
With the weekend ahead, relaxation is on the way.
The week may have been long, but fun is near,
No need to worry, there’s nothing to fear.
It is what it is, and it will be,
Surrounded by good friends and positivity.
Chill and relax, as the weekend will fly,
And soon enough, Monday will be nigh.
With Saturday so close, take time to adore her,
A moment to pamper, a moment to restore her.
Today is Saturday, a time to relax,
With fewer tasks and no need to act.
You have a stream tonight, but don’t let it weigh,
Enjoy the moment, let your worries fade away.
A day of freedom, light, and delight,
Surrounded by love that shines so bright.
The struggles of the week may linger still,
But together with loved ones, you’ll find the will.
In a world that sometimes feels unkind,
Find comfort in those who support you, heart, and mind.
